Lytle Family Art Scholarship

Awarded to an Art Major Student with Senior Standing in the Art department at CI. Must show financial need. Committee review of: an artist statement explaining their work as well as a portfolio for a studio art major; physical portfolio for a painting, drawing, graphic design, ceramics, photography or sculpture student; a reel submitted on DVD for media based students; a major paper on a subject in their field of interest for an art history student. An artist statement explaining their work would also have to be included with the “portfolio”.
Open to Undergraduate Senior students only.
Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher.
Must be enrolled in full-time (12 units) for both the Fall and Spring term (8 Units for Graduate students).
Must be a U.S. Resident, Permanent Resident, or AB-540 eligible.
Must have a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or California Dream Act Application (CADAA) on file for the upcoming academic year.
All students must complete the scholarship application by the deadline.
Portfolio and Artist Statement can be submitted to the Financial Aid Office via email at financial.aid@csuci.edu or dropped off to the Financial Aid & Scholarship office in Sage Hall.

  1. I understand that I must submit a portfolio for a studio art major; physical portfolio for a painting, drawing, graphic design, ceramics, photography or sculpture student; a reel submitted on DVD for media based students; a major paper on a subject in their field of interest for an art history student. An artist statement explaining their work would also have to be submitted with the "portfolio" to the Financial Aid & Scholarship Office by the May 1st deadline. I also acknowledge that submitting my portfolio by the April 2nd Priority Deadline maximizes my chances of being selected.
