Jeff T. Green Family Foundation Scholarship


To apply for the Jeff T. Green Family Foundation Scholarship, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a First-time Freshman with a high school GPA between 2.50-3.25.
  • Must be first generation (neither of your parents have earned a baccalaureate degree).
  • Must plan to be enrolled in 12 units each semester.
  • Financial need-based: Students with Pell Eligibility will have priority.
  • The application includes an essay to explain how will being awarded this scholarship will help you, and how will you utilize it to serve others and your community.
  • Must file a 2023-2024 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or California Dream Act Application (CADAA).
  • Must plan to participate in a CSUCI Learning Community.

Scholarships are renewable. Students must demonstrate that they are successfully progressing toward graduation. Eligibility for renewal for the next academic year is based on maintaining criteria above and meeting the expectations described below for each class year.

SOPHOMORE CRITERIA
To qualify for a scholarship renewal in year two, the student must have met all the criteria listed for the freshman year and agree to the following requirements for their sophomore year:

  • Participate in a CSUCI Learning Community
  • Complete a minimum of 12 units in each semester
  • Maintain good academic standing
  • Meet with an Academic Advisor at least twice per semester
  • Utilize the degree map as a guide based on major (if declared)
  • Complete both: 1) A2 Written Communication, and 2) B4 Mathematics Quantitative Reasoning courses by the end of spring semester

JUNIOR CRITERIA
To qualify for a scholarship renewal in year three, the student must have met all the criteria listed for the sophomore year and agree to the following requirements for their junior year:

  • Maintain good academic standing in both semesters
  • Complete a minimum of 12 units in each semester
  • Meet with an Academic Advisor at least twice per semester
  • Utilize the degree map as a guide based on major

SENIOR CRITERIA
To qualify for a scholarship renewal in year four, the student must have met all the criteria listed for the junior year and agree to the following requirements for their senior year:

  • Maintain good academic standing in both semesters
  • Complete a minimum of 12 units in each semester
  • Meet with an Academic Advisor at least twice per semester
  • Meet with a Career Counselor at least once in the year
  • Utilize the degree map as a guide based on major
