James C. Basile Scholarship
Preference will be given to students who graduated from public or private high schools within the boundaries of the cities of Simi Valley or Moorpark, in Ventura County, California. At least one-half of the annual scholarship shall be awarded to students who have had one or both parents (natural or adoptive) killed or disabled while actively engaged in law enforcement service or while actively engaged in public service as a fire fighter; or visually impaired or otherwise disabled.
Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater.
Must be enrolled in a minimum of 15 units (9 units for Graduate students) each semester.
Must be a US Citizen, California or an eligible AB540 student.
Must have a FAFSA or Dream Act Application on file for the award year.
All students must complete the scholarship application with two letters of recommendation uploaded by the deadline.
