James C. Basile Scholarship

Preference will be given to students who graduated from public or private high schools within the boundaries of the cities of Simi Valley or Moorpark, Ventura County, California. At least one-half of the annual scholarship shall be awarded to such students who have had one or both parents (natural or adoptive) killed or disabled while actively engaged in law enforcement service or while actively engaged in public service as a fire fighter; or visually impaired or otherwise disabled, to the extent there are such applicants.
Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Must be enrolled in full-time (12 units) for both the Fall and Spring term (8 Units for Graduate students).
Must be a U.S. Resident, Permanent Resident, or AB-540 eligible.
Must have a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or California Dream Act Application (CADAA) on file for the upcoming academic year.
All students must complete the scholarship application uploaded by the deadline.
